LM Information Delivery renews contract with SUPC
LM Information Delivery (LM) has once again been selected as a preferred supplier to an agreement awarded by Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium (SUPC), for up to the next four years.
LM will continue to supply the consortia members as it has over the past four years with both electronic and print journal subscriptions along with e-packages including NESLi2 deals.
Susan Wright, Head of SUPC
says: “We are pleased that after a comprehensive tender exercise LM have remained as one of our preferred subscription journal suppliers. As relatively new entrants to the UK market they have worked hard over the last few years to build and grow their higher education business”.
With its focus entirely on subscription management, the core business required by the regional purchasing groups, which include SUPC, NEYAL, MUAL and HEPCW, LM will provide libraries with its unique brand of customer service as
Jan Donnelly, Country Manager for UK and Ireland
explains:
“At LM we pride ourselves on being able to offer our customers a bespoke service, which is based on discussing your needs and how you wish to work with us. Under this agreement, we provide all customers with alerts along with a speedy claim handling process which removes all third claims and most second claims. Business plans are agreed between the customer and their dedicated Customer Account Manager from the outset and LM does not automate any of our functions or have teams who handle different aspects of a customers’ account, which means that they take full ownership. For us, choice is crucial, that’s why we work with your other suppliers such as ExLibris including Alma integration and Proquest to assist in the management of your library.”
Academic institutions across the UK and Ireland are already seeing the benefits of transitioning to LM Information Delivery as
Commercial Director, Nels Rune Jensen
notes:
“We are pleased to have been supplying an increasing number of academic institutions across the UK and Ireland and look forward to helping many more in the coming years. Our customers have expressed how they have noticed a significant difference in the management of their library following their transition to LM Information Delivery, in some instances revolutionising the way they work. By working with LM Information Delivery, you can take control of your library; make the choices that suit your institution and streamline your library by letting us take the workload of subscription management for you.”
